Inside the Harbour Offices
Turning a harbour warehouse into a workplace for 90 people while the building stayed open.

A warehouse worth keeping
The Harbour Offices fill one long floor of a former harbour warehouse in Copenhagen. The timber structure was sound and worth keeping, and a run of windows along one side lights half the floor.
Quiet along the wall, open by the windows
We put meeting rooms, phone booths and focus rooms along the solid wall and kept the window side open for team desks. The old loading bay became the main meeting room, with space for 40 people.
Building while the company stayed
The client stayed in the building during the works, so we split the project into three phases. Each phase was finished and in use before the next began, and the whole floor was done in nine months.
A year on, more people come in to the office than before, and nobody has asked for the old closed offices back.
