The brief
The trust wanted one room for exhibitions and workshops, next to the old kiln they had used for forty years.
The site
A small garden with a brick kiln chimney and an old brick floor.
The approach
We kept the chimney and the floor and built one glass room around them, under a single low roof.
The result
The pavilion hosts classes every week and has become a stop on the city’s craft route.
